AMSI Foundation: Transforming Lives Through Humanitarian & Philanthropic Efforts
The AMSI Foundation is dedicated to supporting humanitarian and philanthropic initiatives both locally and globally, aiming to create a positive impact and foster lasting transformation. Our mission is to contribute to meaningful change by partnering with organizations that uplift communities in need.
Currently, we are proud to collaborate with:
International Rescue Committee (IRC)
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) helps people affected by humanitarian crises—including the climate crisis—to survive, recover and rebuild their lives. The IRC office in Oakland has partnered with AMSI to house refugees fleeing conflict and disaster. With partners like AMSI, the IRC is able to live up to its motto: From Harm to Home.
Family House
Family House San Francisco serves as a home away from home for families of children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses by providing physical comfort and emotional support, free from financial concerns.
Larkin Street Youth Services
Larkin Street Youth Services is a nonprofit empowering young people to move beyond homelessness and have helped over 78,000 young adults in San Francisco by providing healthcare, housing, employment, and education services.
One Warm Coat
On a mission to provide free coats to children and adults in need while promoting volunteerism and environmental sustainability.
The San Francisco Firefighters Toy Program, run by the SF Fire Fighters Union, Local 798, is the city’s largest and the nation’s oldest program of its kind. Since 1949, it has evolved from a few firefighters repairing broken toys and bikes for 15 families to over 300 firefighters and friends volunteering their time to distribute over 200,000 toys to more than 40,000 disadvantaged children year-around. Besides helping individual families in need, the Toy Program serves many community organizations, including shelters for abused women and children, inner-city schools, neighborhood groups, children’s cancer wards, and pediatric AIDS units. We also respond on a year-round basis to displaced children who become victims of fires, floods and other such disasters. Dependent solely on donations, the SF Firefighters Toy Program places collection barrels at retail establishments, street fairs, Christmas parties and many other functions.
Together, we strive to make a difference in the lives of individuals and families, bringing hope and support to those who need it most.
